The vineyard site was chosen for its well drained buckshot gravel soil and north facing aspect. The heat summation of this cool region is just under 1200 degree days, making it ideal for the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
The vineyard is approximately halfway between the wine growing regions of Great Western and Coonawarra. Our vineyard is situated on the north facing slopes of an ancient volcanic eruption point.
